Bishkek, Aug. 26, 2024. / Kabar/. Pupils of the specialized children's and youth school of the Olympic reserve "Olimp" won medals at the Asian Karate-do Championship among cadets, juniors and youth U-21, which were held from August 23 to 25, 2024 in Manila (Philippines).
The press service of the Bishkek Mayor's Office said that the competition is aimed at popularizing and promoting karate-do, identifying the strongest athletes of the Asian continent, strengthening international sports relations, and improving the skills of athletes.
More than 560 athletes from 30 countries came to test their strength at the Asian Championship.
Following the tournament results, athletes of the Olimp Sports School, karate-do department, won 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.
The Kyrgyzstan national team won a total of 5 medals at the Asian Championship among cadets, juniors and youth U-21: 2 silver and 3 bronze.
