Bishkek, Nov. 22, 2024. / Kabar /. Athletes from Kyrgyzstan won prizes at the 16th World Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
The Department of Physical Culture and Sports reported that the 16th World Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championship was held in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) on November 6 - 16.
More than 9,000 athletes from 137 countries took part in the competition.
Kyrgyzstan was represented by athletes from the Top Team Kyrgyzstan club, headed by coach Rahim Khiymamov.
The following prize places were won by Kyrgyz athletes in the festival system among children and at the world championship among teenagers:
Festival system (children):
Abdulaziz Shisyr (white belt) — 1st place, 10-11 years old, 27 kg;
Abdurazzak Kivaza (white belt) — 2nd place, 4-5 years old;
Dalil Khiymamov (blue belt) — 3rd place, 8-9 years old, 24 kg;
Akmal Kivaza (blue belt) — 3rd place, 8-9 years old, 30 kg.
World championship among teenagers:
Nur Ali Shamuzza (blue belt) — 3rd place, 10-11 years old, 30 kg;
Abduhalim Kerimov (yellow belt) — 3rd place, 10-11 years old, 27 kg;
Baykhan Zhekshenbekov (orange belt) — 3rd place, 10-11 years old, 34 kg;
Salikh Makeev (blue belt) — 3rd place, 14-15 years old, 42 kg;
Arif Khiymamov (green belt) — 2nd place, 14-15 years old, 46 kg;
Salim Khunlov (blue belt) — 3rd place, 16-17 years old, 81 kg.
