Bishkek, Oct. 3, 2022 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan won 58 medals at the IV World Nomad Games: 16 gold, 17 silver and 25 bronze, the press service of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports said.
The country was represented by 148 athletes in 14 types of competitions. From Kyrgyzstan, the official program of the competition included kok-boru and alysh (belt wrestling). In both disciplines of the national sport, domestic athletes showed good results. The national team of the republic in kok boru beat the team of Kazakhstan and won a crushing victory with a score of 5:0. In addition, the athletes won silver in the final competitions in kokpar, losing one point to the Kazakhstan team. The game ended with the score 4:3.
Also, Kyrgyz athletes participated in demonstration games in toguz korgool and traditional Kyrgyz wrestling.
IV World Nomad Games were held from September 29 to October 2 in Iznik, Turkey. More than 3 thousand athletes from 102 countries took part in them. The next Games will be held in Kazakhstan.
