Bishkek, Oct. 31, 2024. /Kabar/. The 9th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Austrian Joint Commission on Bilateral Economic Ties took place in Vienna, the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan said.
The delegation was headed by Deputy Finance Minister Ruslan Tatikov, while the Austrian side was represented by Florian Frauscher, the Director General for Economic Affairs, Innovation and International Policy of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labor and Economy.
Ruslan Tatikov and Florian Frauscher held a meeting, where the sides discussed opportunities to expand cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Austria. Both sides expressed interest in strengthening bilateral relations and creating conditions for the implementation of joint projects.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current economic situation and prospects for bilateral relations. Each member of the Kyrgyz delegation presented a report aimed at identifying joint projects to be implemented in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Tatikov urged Austrian investors to actively participate and spoke about the tasks set by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov.
The official also noted the achievements of the Kyrgyz economy and major investment projects, such as the construction of Kambarata HPP-1 and the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railroad, inviting Austrian companies to participate in these initiatives.
At the end of the meeting, a protocol signing ceremony was held.
