Bishkek, March 20, 2024. / Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan and Georgia (with residence in Baku) Kairat Osmonaliev met with Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Farid Gaibov, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
During the meeting the parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation.
The ambassador thanked the minister for his assistance in the participation of Kyrgyz rhythmic gymnastics athletes in international competitions in Baku and proposed to consider the prospects for using existing opportunities in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan to conduct training camps for Azerbaijani athletes, as well as holding friendly matches between the teams of the two countries in various sports .
In turn, the minister expressed his readiness to intensify cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in the fields of sports and youth policy both at the bilateral level and in multilateral formats and, in particular, within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
