Azerbaijan expresses readiness to supply petroleum products to Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, April 27, 2024. / Kabar/. Azerbaijan expressed its readiness to supply petroleum products to Kyrgyzstan. The Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic Taalaibek Ibraev told Kabar Agency.

According to him, as part of the state visit, negotiations were held with the management of the Baku Oil Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev (SOCAR), during which the parties discussed the possibility of supplying oil products from Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan.

“Azerbaijan is one of the largest exporters of petroleum products. Soon, the Junda oil refinery will also begin operating in Kyrgyzstan, the demand for which will be more than 1 million tons of fuel per year. In this regard, issues of oil supplies to Kyrgyzstan were discussed with the management of SOCAR. For their part, they are ready to cooperate. We are currently working on the logistics issue,” he said.

Baku Oil Refinery named after. Heydar Aliyev (SOCAR) is one of the largest oil refineries in the Transcaucasian region.
