Bishkek, July 20, 2022. /Kabar/. Azerbaijan wants to participate in the 5th anniversary summit of Heads of State of Central Asia as an honorary guest, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov said during the Summit, that is taking place in Cholpon-Ata town, Issyk-Kul Oblast.
He noted that the Azerbaijani side expressed a desire to participate in this meeting as well.
"However, preliminary consultations and probing have shown that there is no consensus so far. In this regard, if there is no objection, I propose to instruct foreign ministers to study the issue and report through diplomatic channels," Zhaparov said.
The 5th Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia is scheduled in Tajikistan and will be chaired by Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.
