Azerbaijani President to pay official visit to Kyrgyzstan

Baku, Oct. 15, 2019 / Kabar /. The meeting of Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was fruitful, head of the foreign policy department of the Kyrgyz President’s Office Daniyar Sydykov told reporters.

He said that the President of Azerbaijan accepted the invitation of Jeenbekov to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan, his visit is planned for 2020.

Sydykov also said that a school and a garden will be built in Kyrgyzstan on behalf of Aliyev, the opening of which is planned as part of his official visit. School named after Heydar Aliyev will be built at the expense of Azerbaijan in Bishkek.

Sydykov also noted that Jeenbekov and Aliyev instructed the relevant authorities to work out all possible ways of cooperation.

President Sooronbay Jeenbekov is visiting Azerbaijan. He took part in the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking states in Baku. In 2019, Kyrgyzstan transferred the chairmanship in the council to Azerbaijan. Following the summit, a number of documents were signed.

Jeenbekov, in the framework of participation in the CCTS meeting, held bilateral meetings with the first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, where a number of issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
