Bishkek, Oct.15, 2019. /Kabar/. A new mobile clinic for HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases will be transferred to Batken Oblast, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Health Ministry reported.
A ceremony of handing over to Kyrgyzstan another mobile treatment and diagnostic clinic in the field of prevention, control and supervision of HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases was held in Moscow on Monday, Oct.14.
Four mobile clinics received in previous years are functioning successfully. With their help, preventive examinations are conducted in four oblasts of the country - Chui, Dzhalal-Abad, Issyk-Kul and Osh, which cover more than 50 thousand people in remote areas of the country.
“Thanks to this project, the population of the republic from hard-to-reach regions and without access to various medical services will be able to receive timely information on symptoms and ways of transmitting infectious diseases.
They also have the opportunity to undergo free on-site HIV testing and diabetes testing, STIs, viral hepatitis (A,B,C,D), medical ultrasound of internal organs and other diseases,” Deputy Health Minister Erkin Checheybayev said.
