Belgian photographer's exhibition on nature of Kyrgyzstan opened in Seoul

Bishkek, Dec. 30, 2021 . / Kabar / . The capital city of South Korea –Seoul – hosted an opening of Horse Head photo exhibition of Belgian photographer, dedicated to the nature of Kyrgyzstan.

The Kyrgyz Embassy in the Republic of Korea reported that the event was held on Dec. 28. Works belong to photographer Frederik Buyckx from Belgium.

The opening ceremony was attended by President of the Korea Foundation Lee Geun, Belgian Ambassador François Bontemps and Kyrgyz Ambassador Dinara Kemelova.

In his speech, the Belgian ambassador noted the celebration of the 120th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belgium and Korea, emphasizing the special bond between the three countries.

The president of the Korea Foundation drew special attention to the beauty of the nature of Kyrgyzstan, to the fascinating game of Kok-Boru and emphasized the importance of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the three countries.

In turn, Ambassador Dinara Kemelova expressed gratitude to the co-organizers of the photo exhibition, noted the special magic of the mountainous nature of Kyrgyzstan, the nomadic way of life of the Kyrgyz people, the great treasure - the Manas epic, and invited everyone to visit Kyrgyzstan, which is famous for its hospitality.

The author, Belgian photographer Frederik Buyckx dedicated his works to At-Bashy region of Kyrgyzstan’s Naryn Oblast.

This exhibition will be held in the gallery of the Korea Foundation, as well as in virtual reality online format and will last until Feb. 9, 2022.
