Bishkek, Nov. 28, 2018. /Kabar/. Belgium will transfer 2 million euros to an environmental restoration account for Central Asia, which is managed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the website of the Belgian Embassy in Kazakhstan wrote.

Belgium has many years of experience and knowledge in the use of nuclear energy for civilian purposes. Its institutions have long been involved in EU programs to solve this problem. Belgium is confident that it has the additional valuable and specific knowledge offered to this program in areas such as reclamation of uranium tailings, the creation of analytical capacity of laboratories, assessment of environmental impacts or monitoring of uranium radiation effects on the health of the population.
