Best player of Top League of Kyrgyzstan Sherzot Shakirov to continue his career in Uzbekistan

Bishkek, Feb. 8, 2019. /Kabar/. The best player of the Top - League of Kyrgyzstan, defender of the Kyrgyz national football team, Sherzot Shakirov, will continue his career in Uzbekistan, the Federation of the sport reported.

Shakirov signed a contract with Sogdiana club from the city of Jizzakh (Uzbekistan), playing in the country's top league. The contract is for two years, with the possibility of extention.

The football player told that he joined the team during the training camp in Tashkent. "It is a friendly and polite team, so it did not take time to adapt, from the first training sessions, I was actively involved in the work," he noted.

At the moment, the team is preparing for the upcoming season in Turkey, in the framework of which, on February 6, they held a friendly match with Bačka Palanka club from Serbia, the game ended in a draw 2–2.

“I stepped on the field in the starting lineup and spent all 90 minutes of the match on the field. The goal of Sogdiana for the next season is to get into the top six. Given the competition among the clubs of the top league of Uzbekistan, this is an ambitious task, and I will make every effort to gain a foothold in the main lineup and help my new club achieve its goals,” he said.
