Bishkek, Jan. 20, 2023 / Kabar/. Bishkek and Riyadh are planning to establish sister city ties. This issue was discussed on January 18 by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov during a meeting with governor of the province of Riyadh, Faisal bin Bandar Al Saud.
The parties paid special attention to the development of trade and economic cooperation, the promotion of bilateral tourism and business contacts, the holding of mutual trade fairs and exhibitions, as well as the opening of direct flights.
Maripov and Faisal Al Saud emphasized the importance of establishing twinning ties between the cities of Bishkek and Riyadh, which will help strengthen the friendship of both cities.
In this regard, the parties agreed to continue close coordinated work to promote the draft Agreement on the establishment of sister city relations between the mayor's office of Bishkek and the municipality of Riyadh.
In conclusion, Maripov, on behalf of the mayor of Bishkek, invited Governor of Riyadh Province, His Highness Prince Al Saud, to visit the Kyrgyz Republic at a convenient time for him.
