Bishkek celebrates World Day of Headscarf

Bishkek, Feb. 3, 2018. /Kabar/. The World Day of Headscarf has been celebrated today in Bishkek. Within the framework of the event, display of various shawls, as well as master classes on needlework and knotting were organized.

Day of the scarf is gaining popularity in many countries of the world, the main category of people, who celebrate it are representatives of Islam, although there are many people interested in this, unusual holiday at first glance among representatives of other religious confessions.

For the first time, the Day of the Headscarf was proposed by the inhabitant of New York, Nazmah Khan, in 2014. She invited non-Muslim female friends to wear a headscarf (hijab) for one day and feel what it's like to hide their beauty from prying eyes.
