Bishkek City Kenesh delegation learns experience of St. Petersburgers in drinking water treatment

Bishkek, Mar. 29, 2019. /Kabar/. The deputies of Bishkek City Kenesh visited State Unitary Enterprise Vodokanal of St. Petersburg, the press service of Bishkek City Kenesh reported.

The Bishkek delegation met the acting head of the state unitary enterprise Vodokanal, Alexander Danilov.

St. Petersburg is the first metropolis in the world where all piped water is treated with ultraviolet light. They completely stop employing the poisonous liquid chlorine and switched to hypochlorite of sodium, which is made from ordinary kitchen salt.

Vodokanal of St. Petersburg provides 5.2 million people and tens of thousands of enterprises and organizations with drinking water.

During the meeting, the participants held a constructive dialogue, exchanged experience on various aspects of water supply.

The Bishkek City Kenesh delegation, led by Janybek Abirov, is in St. Petersburg on a working visit. It includes deputies Jumabek Salymbekov, Taalai Sariev, Natalya Kulmatova, Baktybek Abdiev, Asel Pirmatova, Askarbek Kuruchbekov.
