Bishkek discusses strengthening cooperation with St. Petersburg

Bishkek, Nov. 28, 2024. /Kabar/. A meeting between Deputy Mayor Azamat Kadyrov and a delegation of the St. Petersburg government headed by Deputy Chairman of the Committee on External Relations Yevgeny Kassyura took place in Bishkek.

The Bishkek Mayaor’s Office reported that the main topic of discussion was the intensification of cooperation between the two cities, strengthening cultural, economic and educational ties.

Thus, during the meeting, the sides emphasized the historical importance of partnership between Bishkek and St. Petersburg, noting that the restoration of active dialogue will contribute to the development of both cities.

Kassyura expressed his readiness to develop practical cooperation in the field of exchanging pedagogical experience, building a dialogue between schools in Bishkek and St. Petersburg by concluding relevant bilateral documents.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed hope for deepening bilateral cooperation to address pressing issues of urban management, as well as the importance of exchanging experience in the field of urban economy, transport, ecology, digitalization, education and culture. In addition, the importance of intensifying the organization of mutual visits was emphasized. In this regard, the St. Petersburg side invited representatives of the city of Bishkek to visit the northern capital of Russia and get acquainted with the life of the city.
