Bishkek, Jan.16, 2025. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz capital city of Bishkek is included in the list of 300 the most expensive cities in the world, ranking 278th, the Numbeo reported.
When compiling the rating, experts take into account the cost of housing, its rent, food prices, the cost of visiting restaurants and the purchasing power of the population.
Three Swiss cities - Zurich, Lausanne and Geneva - were included in the top three of the Index, taking the first, second and third places.
New York, taken as the base value with an index of 100, is ranked 4th.
The Kazakh city of Almaty ranked 265th and Astana was ranked 275th.
