Bishkek, Oct. 22, 2018. /Kabar/. Bishkek Family Practice Centers (FPCs) should be comfortable and reliable for everyone, Minister of Health Kosmosbek Cholponbaev told at a press conference at the Kabar news Agency.

He said that the goal, transformation of health organizations in the primary health care system, the satisfaction of the needs of citizens and all other whims should go to the background. The Minister said that 19 FPCs are operating in Bishkek for a million people.

“We have a lot of complaints about long lines, inattention of the staff and we can’t provide people with quality service. It is high time that we thought about the fact that quite large amounts of money are being spent on the development of the social sector and the number of dissatisfied with services is growing, and that by overpaying to intermediaries, we often make expensive unreasonable purchases of materials and equipment, which forces people to overpay two and three-fold to private laboratories and for other medical services, and that we need to better align our activities with the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund and other agencies,” Cholponbaev said.

He noted that today a rational approach should be the priority.

“Every manager should be able to count money, and every penny should be properly distributed and go to one treasury. No head of health care organizations should hold office for more than one term and turn a state institution into its own patrimony. We must remember that health care is not the place to work for your own pocket. It is necessary to motivate a health worker to create a patient-oriented and fair system of health management, in which everyone will be safe and comfortable,” Cholponbaev said.

The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic is optimizing the management of healthcare organizations in the primary health care system in Bishkek. These transformations are carried out in the light of designated course of the government of the Kyrgyz Republic on the strengthening of disease prevention, promotion of healthy lifestyles among the population and rational use of available resources.
