Bishkek, Nov.20, 2019 /Kabar/. At the initiative of Guangzhou Mayor Wen Guohui, the delegation of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office, headed by Deputy Mayor Ulanbek Azygaliyev took part in the Commemorative Meeting of 40 Years of International Sister Cities in Guangzhou, the press service of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported.
The Guangzhou mayor warmly received the delegation of the Bishkek Mayor's Office, and expressed hope for further cooperation with the establishment of fraternity between the cities.
“Our visit gave an impulse to activate the existing partnership relations, together with Chinese colleagues we discussed strategic issues on attracting more investment flow to the development of infrastructure and life activities of our capital, as Guangzhou is the third largest city of China in terms of economy,” the mayor’s office’s press service said.
Now the capital mayor's office prepares the draft agreement, it means that very soon Bishkek and Guangzhou will become sister cities.
Note that the official visit of the Bishkek Mayor’s delegation took place within the framework of partnership relations, established on Dec. 12, 2004.
