Bishkek hosting Central Asian e-commerce forum

Bishkek, Oct. 27, 2024 . / Kabar / . The Central Asian e-commerce forum E-COM Expo 2024 is taking place in Bishkek Oct. 27.

The forum is attended by government agencies of Kyrgyzstan and representatives of Central Asian countries, entrepreneurs, service providers, experts from international organizations and others.

The objectives of the E-COM Expo 2024 are to popularize the tools of digital economy and e-commerce among businesses, to create a platform for exchange of views and experience among e-commerce participants, to establish business relations and expand cooperation in Central Asia, as well as to stimulate inclusive growth and contribute to the development of the economy through e-commerce.

The event includes meetings with digital experts, discussion of trends in online sales and digital promotion, practical cases from top market players and networking with business leaders and government representatives. Participants were informed about the latest tools of trade, logistics and cashless payments.

During the forum it was noted that currently Kyrgyzstan ranks 96th in the world in the development of e-commerce, but there is a rapid development, so in 2024 the growth of the market volume amounted to 14.3%. Currently, there are 257 websites related to e-commerce in the country.

President of the E-Commerce Association of Kyrgyzstan Aibek Kurenkeyev, Chairman of the E-Commerce Association of Uzbekistan Musaffar Azamov, Member of the Board of Technowomen (Kazakhstan) Alua Korpebaeva and Chairwoman of the Association of E-Commerce Participants of Tajikistan Nasima Bahramova signed a memorandum of cooperation.
