Bishkek, July 6, 2022. /Kabar/. Bishkek is hosting a forum of mayors of 32 cities of Kyrgyzstan with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov.
As part of the event, mayors will meet to develop cooperation and efforts of cities to create conditions for the comprehensive and full development of children and youth, for active and equal participation of young people in addressing issues affecting their interests and well-being.
The forum is held within the framework of implementation of the Government Decree "On Approval of the Regulations on the procedure of the competition Child Friendly Cities” from Sept. 15, 2020, aimed at a regular nationwide competition to encourage cities to implement inclusive policies and resource distribution, focused on children and young people.
This competition is part of the Child and Youth Friendly Municipalities program, a joint initiative of the Cabinet of Ministers and the UNICEF office in Kyrgyzstan.
