Bishkek hosts 13th meeting of Coordinating Council for Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and EU

Bishkek, Feb. 22, 2022. / Kabar /. The 13th meeting of the Coordinating Council for Cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the European Union was held on February 22, 2022, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

The ministry reported that the event was attended by representatives of the Delegation of the European Union in Bishkek, members of the Council and representatives of ministries and departments of the country.

During the meeting, a presentation of the EU Multi-Year Indicative Program for the Kyrgyz Republic for 2021-2027 was held, as well as issues of cooperation within the framework of the EU Regional Indicative Program for Central Asia for 2021-2027 were discussed.

The meeting participants noted the importance of promoting relevant bilateral and regional programs, as well as initiatives to strengthen cooperation with the European Union in program and project activities in priority areas: a) public administration and digitalization, b) human development, c) a green economy that is resistant to climate change.

Following the meeting of the Coordinating Council, a protocol was adopted, which reflected the reached agreements and a set of measures aimed at further developing bilateral cooperation and increasing the effectiveness of EU programs and projects in the Kyrgyz Republic.
