Bishkek, Oct. 28, 2021 / Kabar /. The 36th meeting of the Electric Power Coordination Council of Central Asia was held in Bishkek, the press service of the National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The event was attended by energy department representatives of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan.
Opening the meeting, Deputy Minister of Energy and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Taalaibek Ibraev wished the participants fruitful work.
“I am glad to welcome colleagues of power engineers from the CIS countries at the regular meeting of the participants of the Electric Power Coordination Council of Central Asia. Today we are to discuss a number of issues of our work in the United Energy System of Central Asia, agree and make new important decisions aimed at further cooperation. Practice shows that parallel work is necessary and important for all of us, especially for the successful completion of the winter season,” said Taalaibek Ibraev.
Thus, results of the work of the United Energy System of Central Asia (UES CA) over the past vegetation season for 2021 and the expected mode of operation of the UES CA for the period of the forthcoming autumn-winter period 2021-2022 were discussed. In discussing topical issues to ensure concerted actions and coordination of parallel work of the ECO of Central Asia, special attention is focused on the low-water cycle in the region.
As a result of the 36th meeting, the significant decisions were made aimed at ensuring optimal modes of parallel operation of power systems, coordinated actions, including the integrated and rational use of fuel, energy and water resources in Central Asia.
Electric Power Coordination Council of Central Asia members include System Operators of 4 countries, such as National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan JSC (Kyrgyzstan), KEGOC JSC (Kazakhstan), NEG JSC Uzbekistan (Uzbekistan), and Barki Tojik OJSC (Tajikistan).
