Bishkek, April 7, 2022 / Kabar /. The 6th regional meeting of the heads of border agencies of the CIS member states was held in Bishkek, the press service of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The regional forum was attended by delegations from 5 border agencies of the Commonwealth states: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, as well as the Coordination Service of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev addressed the participants of the meeting with a welcoming speech.
During the meeting, the main issues and threats to border security at the external borders of the CIS member states of the Central Asian region, trends in the development of the situation in the Afghan direction were considered, and measures to further jointly strengthen the border security system were discussed.
As a result of the meeting, a Protocol was signed, the recommendations of which will be discussed at a meeting of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops on May 18, 2022 in the city of Turkestan, Kazakhstan.
