Bishkek, Aug. 29, 2022. / Kabar /. A bike ride was held in Bishkek on Sunday, Aug. 28. This event is timed to coincide with the Independence Day of Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Culture reported.
The bike ride was held under the slogan "Health starts with me!" and is dedicated to strengthening the unity of the people, increasing tolerance, preserving and developing diversity in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The event was attended by Deputy Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov, Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Azamat Zhamankulov, representatives of the People’s Assembly of Kyrgyzstan and civil society, as well as everyone who loves cycling and a healthy lifestyle. More than 1000 people took part in the bike ride.
This event was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, with the support of the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the City Hall of Bishkek, the Assembly of the People of Kyrgyzstan, the Public Association "Velo friends positive kg" and the cycling club "Golden Wheels", in partnership with UNDP, the Public Association "Institute for Peace and Development", as well as the company "Shoro".
