Bishkek, July 20, 2020. /Kabar/. The ceremony of raising the flag of the Kyrgyz Republic in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Olympic Games in Moscow was held Monday at the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office.
According to the press service of the capital municipality, the event was held strictly observing sanitary regulations.
The event was attended by weightlifter, winner of the Olympic Games, four-time world champion and two-time European champion in weightlifting Kanybek Osmonaliyev, athletes and Head of the Department Nurlan Tokonoyev.
Osmonaliyev also handed over personal protective equipment from Head of the Karelin Foundation Novosibirsk Regional Public Fund Alexander Karelin - three-time Olympic champion and Head of Physical Training of 41 Army, Colonel Ivan Kuvyrzin. PPE will be distributed among the capital's coaches and instructors of the department.
1980 Summer Olympic became triumphant for the Kyrgyz sport, then our sportsmen brought 5 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
