Bishkek hosts expert discussion on countering religious radicalism

Bishkek, Apr. 24, 2018 / Kabar /. The International Expert Platform "Positive Practices of Counteraction to Religious Radicalism: A View from Central Asia" is being held in Bishkek.

Representatives of the Russian and Chinese Embassies in the Kyrgyz Republic, Deputy Head of the President's Office of Kyrgyzstan Mira Karybaeva, Chairman of the Council of the People’s Assembly of Kyrgyzstan Tokon Mamytov, First Deputy Chairman of the Council of the People’s Assembly of Russia Venaliy Amelin, religious scholars, political scientists, sociologists from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan participate in the forum in Bishkek.

CIS experts discuss new dangerous trends and methods of radicalization of youth, migrants, feminization of terrorism, the recruitment of militants to illegal armed groups in the Middle East, attempts to restart the international terrorist organization IGIL 2.0 with the transfer of its activity to the Central Asian region, the necessary changes in legislation on fighting with extremism.
