Bishkek, Nov. 13, 2023. / Kabar/. The “United People - Strong Country” forum is being held in Bishkek, dedicated to the topic of interethnic relations and the implementation of the “Kyrgyz Zharany” concept.
The forum is attended by Secretary of State Suyunbek Kasmambetov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baysalov, members of the Cabinet, representatives of ethnic minorities, many public associations and representatives of diasporas.
A Kyrgyz zharany is a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic who has rights and responsibilities in accordance with the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, regardless of ethnic, religious, social and regional affiliation.
The concept of “Kyrgyz Zharany” comes from the name of the country - the Kyrgyz Republic, and is a common civic identity that unites all ethnic communities while maintaining their ethnocultural identity.
The concept consists of five priority areas:
- Formation of a conscious understanding of civic identity;
- Strengthening the unity of the people of Kyrgyzstan, increasing tolerance and preserving the value of diversity;
- Development and promotion of the state language, as well as the preservation and development of multilingualism;
- Creating equal conditions in access to management and decision-making processes;
- Increasing trust in political institutions and government bodies.
