Bishkek, April 26, 2023. /Kabar/. A Kyrgyz-Chinese business forum is held today in Bishkek with the participation of Kyrgyz and Chinese businessman.
Agreements were signed at the forum between entrepreneurs in mining, agriculture and logistics sphere. In total agreements on 6 energy resource import projects, 4 agricultural product import and export projects, 4 cross-border e-commerce overseas warehouse projects, 6 foreign trade cooperation, customs clearance facilitation and port construction cooperation projects were signed.
After the signing ceremony during the press conference Jiang Haitao, Director of Kashgar Province Bureau of Commerce said that China and Kyrgyzstan are good neighbors with mountains and rivers, good friends with sincerity and mutual trust, good partners with win-win cooperation, and good brothers who support each other. “Let 's work for the benefit of the two countries under the top-level design and strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries,” he noted.
Qiao Xianghua, Executive Deputy Commissioner of the Kashgar Administrative Office in Xinjiang stressed in his speech that in the past three years, Kashgar’s foreign trade with Kyrgyzstan has grown strongly.
He noted that at present, Kyrgyzstan is the largest trading partner of Kashgar region. “The commodities exported to Kyrgyzstan from Kashgar region are mainly clothing, mechanical and electrical products, shoes and boots. And textiles, accounting for more than 85% of Kashgar's foreign trade import and export volume with Kyrgyzstan, the main import products are coal and agricultural products,” Qiao Xianghua said.
In the next step, he noted the conscientious implementation of the high-quality development decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee to jointly build the "Belt and Road" and acceleration of the construction of the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt.
