Bishkek, July 12, 2019. /Kabar/. The Makeathon Bishkek 2019 social project was implemented in Bishkek on July 9-11. The project was attended by Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic Janyl Alybayeva, the press service of the ministry reported.
The Makeathon TOM is a 72-hour marathon, where inventors develop devices for children with disabilities.
The purpose of the project is to create prototypes that are easy to use, easy to manufacture and affordable, aimed at adapting people with disabilities in society and organizing their full lives.
“Persons with disabilities receive special and significant attention. Social protection and provision of quality services to them is one of the important directions of social policy of the state,” Alybayeva said.
According to her data, currently there are 186.7 thousand people with disabilities, including 29.9 thousand children.
