Bishkek hosts meeting of Kyrgyz-Russian intergovernmental commission

Bishkek, March 29, 2023. / Kabar /. A regular meeting of the intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Russian commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian cooperation in an expanded format, co-chaired by head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov and Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexei Overchuk, began at the Ala-Archa state residence in Bishkek.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers in his speech noted that Kyrgyzstan invariably attaches particular importance to partnerships with Russia, which have always been distinguished by mutual trust, support and a sincere desire to further expand and deepen them.

“Allied relations and strategic partnership between our countries, which are due to close historical, cultural and spiritual ties, are one of the important priorities of our country's foreign policy.

At present, our interaction is carried out in all spheres of the life of states and at all levels of interstate dialogue, and fully corresponds to the status and nature of bilateral cooperation.

Undoubtedly, maintaining high dynamics of interaction at the government level is important for promoting joint initiatives and practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest and high levels.

Russia is not only our closest ally, but also traditionally one of the main trade and investment partners of Kyrgyzstan, occupying a special place in the structure of our country's foreign trade,” he said.

A number of documents are planned to be signed following the meeting.
