Bishkek hosts SCO: Expanding of Cooperation Boundaries business forum

Bishkek, May 17, 2019. /Kabar/. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization: Expanding of Cooperation Boundaries business forum is held in Bishkek.

During the meeting, representatives of the business community and the governments of the SCO member states discussed investment opportunities and economic sector development.

Kyrgyz Prime Minister Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev said that the relevance of the meeting and the SCO summit as a whole lies in the fact that it is taking place in conditions of fierce competition and crises in the global economy.

"As you know, this year the presidency in the SCO has moved to Kyrgyzstan. This is a great honor for our country, but this is also a great responsibility. Therefore, our task today is to create comfortable conditions for fruitful work for all participants and guests of the forum. Such business forums and other meetings of the business community are held to find business partners and exchange fresh ideas, talk about joint projects and opportunities for their implementation. Therefore, today business should actively use the platforms of such regional and promising organizations as the SCO,” prime minister said.
