Bishkek, Feb. 28, 2024. /Kabar/. The opening ceremony of the World Billiards Championship is held in Bishkek on Tuesday.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov, who participated in the opening ceremony, congratulated the participants on the start of the World Billiards Championship on behalf of the president and members of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“I cordially congratulate you on the start of the World Billiards Championship. Thanks to the merits of our domestic billiards champions, we are honored to host a tournament of this level on Kyrgyz soil. The world's leading athletes take part in the competition. Welcome to Kyrgyzstan,” he said.
Edil Baisalov also noted the republic’s readiness to hold international competitions in all sports during four seasons of the year.
About 200 athletes from 20 countries take part in the World Billiards Championship. The championship will last until March 2.
