Bishkek, Aug.20, 2019. /Kabar/. The Bishkek-Kara-Balts road is planned to be completed next year, Shabdanbek Imankulov, the Director of the Road Industry Department under the Ministry of Transport and Roads of Kyrgyzstan told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.

According to him, the Department has done a lot of work, and it was planned to renovate 139 km of road surface.
“To date, 75% of the work has been completed. I think we will complete by Sep. 25th. This includes not only replacing asphalt pavement, but also laying pipes,” Imankulov said.
Sanzhar Asanaliyev, acting director of the Asian Development Bank's Investment Projects Implementation Group, said the group is currently implementing 6 projects, 3 of which are nearing completion.
“One of the projects is the reconstruction of the Bishkek-Kara-Balta road. For this year, all our projects are under way. The Bishkek-Kara-Balta road is being paved. We have already laid 23 kilometers, and this year we plan to build another 30 km and complete the project next year,” Asanaliyev said.
