Bishkek, Feb. 25, 2019. /Kabar/. The Budget and Finance Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) reviewed and approved the draft law on Ratification of the Agreement between the Governments of the Kyrgyz Republic and Turkey on the Opening, Joint Management and Transfer of Bishkek Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship State Hospital, as well as Education of Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Turkey in the Field of Medicine and Medical Specialties signed on September 1, 2018 in the city of Bishkek.
Under the Agreement, Bishkek Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship State Hospital with a capacity of 72 beds (including 21 beds in the intensive care unit) will be opened in Bishkek to provide medical services to citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as citizens of other countries and persons without citizenship who appeal for medical care.
The hospital will be jointly managed by the Parties over the next 3 years. After the completion of this period, the management of the Hospital will be transferred to the Kyrgyz side. Over the next 3 years after its transfer by the Ministry of Health of Turkey, monitoring and coordination activities will continue.
