Bishkek, Apr. 7, 2020 /Kabar/. The COVID-19 early diagnosis mechanism has been launched in Bishkek, Mayor of the capital Aziz Surakmatov said at a briefing at the Government House.
According to him, Bishkek residents can now receive prompt medical advice on self-diagnostics by calling the 118 hotline.
"The doctors will collect epidemiological anamnesis directly by phone, find out all the details of how the caller feels and fill out a questionnaire specially designed by specialists," he said.
Also, Surakmatov added citizens can contact the hotline if they have come from other countries in the past 30 days, visited the country’s regions with poor epidemiological situation, had close contact with an infected person, visited points of observation or were in a home quarantine under medical supervision.
"In case of a threat of disease detection, mobile medical teams consisting of a doctor, epidemiologist and a laboratory assistant will visit a scene and to make express-screening right at home," the mayor said.
In Bishkek, 40 mobile teams consisting of a doctor, epidemiologist and laboratory assistant have been formed under the state of emergency.
As of Apr.7, 12 more cases of COVID-19 were revealed in Kyrgyzstan, 228 in total. Of these, 19 are cases of medical personnel infection.
33 citizens have recovered and discharged from hospitals.
Four people have died.
