Bishkek mayor, head of WHO office in Kyrgyzstan discuss recommendations during pandemic

Bishkek, May 12, 2020 / Kabar/. Bishkek Mayor Aziz Surakmatov met with head of the WHO office (World Health Organization) in the Kyrgyz Republic, Nazira Artykova, and discussed recommendations for protecting public health in conditions of COVID-19 pandemic.

The press service of Mayor’s Office reported that during the meeting the sides noted that unfortunately, after the change of emergency in an emergency, some townspeople ceased to comply with sanitary rules, walk on the street unnecessarily, do not use antiseptics.

The mayor noted that in Bishkek, where, more than a million people live, the risk of infection remains.

As of May 12, laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus in the capital makes 282 cases.

Nazira Artykova said that in the framework of the Healthy City project, WHO is preparing updated rules of conduct when removing a number of restrictions.
