Bishkek mayor on supply of eco-buses and special equipment from Kazakhstan

Bishkek, Dec. 9, 2021 . / Kabar /. During a press conference on Thursday, Mayor of Bishkek Aibek Dzhunushaliyev spoke in detail about the memorandum signed jointly with Akim of Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) Altai Kulginov on the purchase of eco-buses during a working visit.

He noted that the purpose of the working visit was the signing of the "Roadmap for trade and economic, scientific and technical and cultural-humanitarian cooperation between the Mayor's Office of Bishkek and the Nur-Sultan Akimat for 2022-2024".

In addition, an agreement was signed to supply 1 thousand gas-powered buses from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan and 100 units of municipal equipment.

"We also do not exclude the possibility that 30% of the planned purchase of buses will be on Euro-standard diesel fuel. However, this issue has not been solved yet", the mayor of the capital said.

Meanwhile, Dzhunushaliyev noted the need in 1 thousand 500 units of buses to burden the load on the central part of the city.

"In turn, shuttle buses will run on the outskirts of the city, and we will dispose of the old car fleet at the auction", the Bishkek mayor summed up.
