Bishkek mayor presents promising investment projects in UAE

Bishkek, June 9, 2022. / Kabar /. Mayor of Bishkek Emilbek Abdykadyrov visited the United Arab Emirates on a working trip from 3 to 6 June.

According to the press service of the Bishkek Mayor’s Office, during the visit, Abdykadyrov held a number of meetings with representatives of the UAE.

The mayor met with the confidant of Sheikh Mansour ibn Zayed Al Nahyan, the general director of the K and K Group, Professor Tajeddin Seif. During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the Bishkek Mayor’s Office and businesses and the municipalities of Abu Dhabi and Dubai were discussed. They also agreed to speed up the establishment of twinning ties between the cities.

In addition, the mayor presented promising investment projects, in particular, the concept of the Bishkek City multifunctional quarter, the removal of the railway from the city, transport issues, the construction of a plant for the processing of solid waste and medical waste, the creation of a monorail transport system in Bishkek and others.

In turn, the Arab side expressed its readiness to participate in the implementation of these projects and proposed several options for cooperation: investment, PPP cooperation and grant assistance.

The mayor also met with the owners of the Royal group of technologies company, which is engaged in information technology. This company has implemented Smart City projects in Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mexico and others. Following the meeting, it was decided that the company will audit the Smart City system in Bishkek and launch separate pilot projects.

During a meeting with the director of the American company "ReMining Corporation", which builds plants using environmentally friendly technologies, the sides agreed to conduct an audit on their part and provide a commercial proposal for the construction of the plant.
