Bishkek mayor meets with Kazakhstani trade minister

Bishkek, Dec. 16, 2021 . / Kabar / . A meeting was held on Thursday between Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliyev and a delegation from Kazakhstan, headed by Minister of Trade and Integration of the neighboring republic Bakhyt Sultanov.

During the meeting, the sides debated the terms of a possible investment agreement on the purchase of gas-powered buses by Bishkek Mayor’s Office under the memorandum, signed by the capital’s mayor during a working visit to Nur-Sultan.

The sides also considered potential ways to build mutually beneficial relationships, the introduction of smart technology in the process of ensuring the safety of citizens and the renewal of the capital's fleet of municipal vehicles.

Earlier, as part of a working visit to the city of Nur-Sultan a memorandum of intent to purchase 1000 gas-powered buses of Yutong brand in 2022 was signed.

The memorandum was signed by Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, the Bishkek Mayor’s Office, Industry Development Fund JSC, KazakhExport JSC, Qaztehna LLP, SaryarkaAvtoprom LLP, Kamaz-Engineering JSC and ONAY Pay LLP.
