Bishkek Mayor’s Office to build 200 birdhouses in the capital city

Bishkek, March 13 / Kabar /. 200 birdhouses are planned to be installed in Bishkek parks in the near future, the press service of the Bishkek Mayor's Office reports.

The city service has already produced more than 100 pieces of birds. In early spring they will be installed in the parks of the capital city.

"These measures are taken to attract useful birds. As is known, in Bishkek there are many pests of trees, and birds are natural fighters of harmful insects and their larvae, so it is necessary to attract them to places of large congestion of trees. For one day a bird can destroy as many creeping and flying insects as it weighs itself. If we return the birds to our parks and gardens, this will be a significant contribution to improving the ecological situation in our beloved city," the report said.
