Bishkek – Osh highway blocked due to weather conditions

Bishkek, Feb. 25, 2021. / Kabar /. The Bishkek-Osh highway is blocked due to weather conditions, the press service of Chui Oblast Department for Road Safety reported.

"Due to the deterioration of the weather in Chui Oblast, especially in the mountainous areas, the Bishkek - Osh road is closed until the weather conditions improve,” the report says.

In addition, inspectors of Chui Oblast Department for Road Safety asked citizens not to go into the mountainous area without the necessity.

The Bishkek-Osh highway with a length of 672 km has become a key road for the country - the only one linking the north and south of Kyrgyzstan.

The strategically important road is accessible year round by all types of vehicles.
