Bishkek, Oct. 9, 2020 / Kabar /. Supporters of various political parties and their leaders gathered today on the central Ala-Too square with demands and appeals to return to the legal track to the supporters of other political parties, where subsequently disagreements arose between them, which escalated into riots.
The Bishkek police department reported that as a result of the riots, unidentified persons threw stones at a group of people on the platform and began to use firearms. Previously, two persons received gunshot wounds to various parts of the body and head. In addition, a video was published in the Internet media, which filmed the use of firearms against persons who were on this square.
These facts were registered at the Bishkek Internal Affairs Directorate and pre-trial proceedings were started under Article 264 (riots) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the necessary examinations were appointed.
On Friday, five citizens were taken to the National Hospital with various bodily injuries.
Within the framework of this pre-trial proceedings, investigative actions and operational-search measures are carried out.
