Bishkek, June 30, 2021. / Kabar /. 1,490 new COVID-19 cases were detected in Bishkek per day, it seems that the capital has reached its peak, Kuban Kundashev, head physician of the Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision of Bishkek, told Kabar Agency.
He said that the increase in morbidity in Bishkek is associated with the mass making of PCR analysis. “As you remember, last year PCR analyzes were done only by state laboratories, private ones started doing it only in August. Now all citizens have begun to take PCR tests to both public and private laboratories. Currently, 1.4 thousand people are on outpatient treatment, i.e. under the supervision of doctors at the place of residence. In 90% of cases, the infected carry the disease in a mild form. They do not have severe forms of the disease,” Kundashev said.
He also suggested that the capital has already reached the peak of the incidence. “The disease will soon decline, possibly in the next 1-2 weeks. People and the business community need to follow our guidelines! Citizens should wear masks, wash their hands, keep their distance, and be conscientious. Cafes and restaurants should not fill the premises, but work at 60% occupancy,” he said.
Kundashev noted that it makes no sense anymore in a complete lockdown.
