Bishkek ready to co-op with Korea to implement environmental projects

Bishkek, Nov. 20, 2024. /Kabar/. Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzunushaliev met with Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kyrgyzstan Kim Kwang-jae, the press service of the capital’s Mayor’s Office said.

The mayor outlined the importance of developing mutually beneficial cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Kyrgyzstan, as well as deepening cooperation with the Korea International Cooperation Agency of Korea KOICA and expressed gratitude for the financial assistance provided to the Mayor's Office of Bishkek.

The implementation of possible projects in the field of environmental improvement was also discussed.

Aibek Dzhunushaliev spoke about the work done to increase the green fund of the capital and noted that the Bishkek Mayor's Office is open to cooperation with the Korean side in the development of further bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation.

In addition, the issue of improving the Friendship Park of Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea was raised.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed hope for further cooperation between the Bishkek Mayor’s Office and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Kyrgyzstan.
