Bishkek residents to be shown films by female directors of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Mar. 5, 2019. /Kabar/. The 3rd cinema forum of female directors will be held in Bishkek, where 12 films will be presented to the audience, the Foundation of Creative Women of Asia wrote on social media.

The event will be held in Chyngyz Aitmatov House of Cinema on March 15-16. Entrance is free.

“On the first day there will be a round table and master classes with well-known directors, actors and forum participants,” the organizers added. “On the second day there will be a screening of the films of the participants, after which there will be a question-answer session with the authors.

Films that will compete for the Best Film title:

1. Golos Provintsyi (Russian: Голос Провинции, lit.; Voice of Province), directed by Asel Sydykova;

2. A Road, Akchalova Kalvira;

3. Malenkaya Demokratiya (Russian: Маленькая демократия, lit.: Little democracy), Altynay Taalaibek Kyzy;

4. Uzak/Otchuzhdenie (Russian: Узак/Отчуждение, lit.: Distance) , Begim Joldubay Kyzy;

5. Manezhe (Russian: Манеж, lit.: Runway), Bekinai Toktosunova;

6. Azamat, Nazgul Dolotkeldieva;

7. Pirouette, Altynai Kabylbayeva;

8. Bezoblachnoe Nebo (Russian: Безоблачное небо, lit.: Cloudless Sky, Aizada Bekbalaeva;

9. Hide and Seek (Kazakhstan);

10. Changet, Aida Midin Kyzy;

11. Crazy mom, Zhanan Kurmasheva (Kazakhstan);

12. Kyz Zhibek, Diana Tursyn (Kazakhstan).
