Bishkek school-gymnasium No. 20 named after Heydar Aliyev

Bishkek, Oct. 12, 2022. /Kabar/. As part of the state visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Kyrgyzstan, a solemn ceremony was held today to name the capital school-gymnasium No. 20 after Heydar Aliyev.

The event was attended by Presidents of Kyrgyzstan - Sadyr Zhaparov and Azerbaijan - Ilham Aliyev.

In his speech, Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the naming of a school in Bishkek is a significant event in bilateral relations and testifies to the strong friendship of the two peoples and strategic cooperation between our countries, the foundation of which was laid by the historical personality of international stature, the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.

He emphasized that the naming of the school after Heydar Aliyev is a great honor for Kyrgyzstan, because the hopes and aspirations of not only the people of Azerbaijan were focused in this large-scale personality.

The head of state expressed hope that personalities like Heydar Aliyev would emerge from the walls of this school in the future.

Sadyr Zhaparov is confident that young compatriots will become a strong bridge of friendship and cooperation between the two fraternal peoples and countries.

He expressed gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan for maintaining continuity, for personal commitment to the high bonds of friendship, solidarity and support. Thanks to this, bilateral relations are not only successfully developing to this day, but also reaching a completely new level.

Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized with satisfaction that this year relations between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan have intensified and reached a completely new level of strategic partnership.

Further, the heads of state toured the halls and classrooms of this school.

During the inspection of the classrooms, Ilham Aliyev signed a soccer ball and presented it to the pupils.

The leaders of the countries in the canteen of the school talked with the children of elementary grades during a breakfast and ate school porridge with them.

For the honored guests, the schoolchildren prepared short performances, including reading poems, singing songs about the friendship between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, and also read an excerpt from the Manas epic.

Sadyr Zhaparov and Ilham Aliyev, noting the talent and giftedness of the children, wished them success in their studies and a bright future.
