Bishkek, June 24, 2020. /Kabar/. Over the past ten days, the city of Bishkek has seen a daily increase in the number of COVID-19 infections, Deputy Mayor Tatyana Kuznetsova told Wednesday.
According to her data, as of June 24 in Bishkek COVID-19 was laboratory - confirmed in 1 thousand 334 people, 471 people have been discharged from hospitals after recovery, 1 thousand 609 contact persons from close surroundings remain under medical supervision and nine people died.
"I would like to note that 418 of all registered cases are self-reports, and the cause of infection has not been identified in 40 cases. Whereas previously positive result on COVID-19 were identified among contact persons and imported cases, recently there have been cases of COVID-19 infection among the entire population of the capital," she said.
Kyrgyzstan on Wednesday confirmed 207 new coronavirus cases, raising the total to 3,726.
2,082 citizens have been discharged from hospitals after recovery.
Death toll stands at 42.
