Bishkek, April 8, 2021. / Kabar/ . In Bishkek, coronavirus infection was detected in 22 schoolchildren and 11 teachers, head of the Education Department of the capital’s Mayor’s Office Elmira Imanaliyeva said during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
She added that classes, where COVID-19 was detected, switch to online education for the period of quarantine.
"And then, if no one new case is identified, class returns to traditional education. Schools wont’ be closed completely, just selectively,” the head of the department explained.
Imanaliyeva noted that capital school №70 was closed completely because several cases of coronavirus infection were detected there.
Earlier, Bishkek Mayor’s Office said schools will be switched to online learning from April 12 until a special decision is made and the epidemiological situation improves.
According to the decision, kindergartens will be also closed.
At present, sanitary control has been strengthened throughout the capital city, the number of inspections of mobile brigades to check economic entities has been increased.
