Bishkek, Feb. 13, 2024. /Kabar/. The fifth meeting of special representatives of the Central Asian states and the European Union for Afghanistan will take place in Bishkek on February 14, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
It is planned to exchange expert opinions on the development of the current socio-economic and humanitarian situation, as well as the state of affairs in the fight against drug trafficking and international terrorism in Afghanistan.
This meeting is also planned for the participation of leaders and representatives of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan and the UN Office on Drugs and Crime in Kabul.
Previous meetings in the Central Asia-EU format on Afghanistan took place in Almaty (May 2021), Tashkent (November 2021), Brussels (January 2023) and Ashgabat (May 2023).
